Kindergarten is learning about rotation (spinning in place) and revolution/orbiting (moving around another object). We have modeled both until we are all dizzy! :) Students get a mini "solar system" at their group table and must place the "sun" in the correct spot (center) and make an "earth" revolve/orbit around the sun.
In first grade, we are Junior Astronauts building our straw rockets that will be launched next week.
In second grade, we are learning about soil and classifying soil. Students had to draw and label the layers of soil and using edible substances, had to create and explain their labeled "soil".
